„Democratic“ ? Policy Without Awareness

Many serious politicians and publishers say, that „terrorism“ (1) can’t being defended by military interventions. And a former US general in The Telegraph too:

„My systemic worry is that we’re repeating the mistakes that we made in Afghanistan and Iraq: putting the military far too up front and centre in our response to the threat without addressing the fundamental political question and the causes. The danger is that yet again we’re taking a symptomatic treatment not a causal one.“

He reported, that Qatar and Saudi-Arabia are financing the Wahhabi Salafism, which is the ideological reason for ISIS.

Therefore it’s not tolerable, that the US president, Donald Trump, and the German government are supporting the Saudi-Arabian Kingdom diplomatical and with arms. (2)

Fareed Zakaria in The Washington Post criticized and mentioned it too:

“ The facts are well-known. For five decades, Saudi Arabia has spread its narrow, puritanical and intolerant version of Islam — originally practiced almost nowhere else — across the Muslim world. Osama bin Laden was Saudi, as were 15 of the 19 9/11 terrorists.

And we know, via a leaked email from former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, in recent years the Saudi government, along with Qatar, has been “providing clandestine financial and logistic support to [the Islamic State] and other radical Sunni groups in the region.” Saudi nationals make up the second-largest group of foreign fighters in the Islamic State and, by some accounts, the largest in the terrorist group’s Iraqi operations. The kingdom is in a tacit alliance with al-Qaeda in Yemen.

(…)

According to an analysis of the Global Terrorism Database by Leif Wenar of King’s College London, more than 94 percent of deaths caused by Islamic terrorism since 2001 were perpetrated by the Islamic State, al-Qaeda and other Sunni jihadists. Iran is fighting those groups, not fueling them. Almost every terrorist attack in the West has had some connection to Saudi Arabia. Virtually none has been linked to Iran.“

But the new US administration fullfilled the goals of the Saudi kingdom and its imperialistic goals (to establish itself as the hegemonial and leading power of all Gulf States) and marked Iran as the most evil state for supporting terrorism. Therefore Donald Trump is responsible for the Saudi offensive against Qatar, how the New York Times reported:

„Some analysts saw the sudden escalation as a sign that Saudi Arabia and its allies had been emboldened by the recent visit from President Trump, in which he publicly embraced the Saudis as a leading partner in fighting terrorism and countering Iran’s influence.“

The New York Times reflected, that it can „weaken an ally that has provided a vital base for the American military in its campaign against the Islamic State„. Qatar is hosting a US military base and therefore this conflict between the Gulf States isn’t welcome. But in this case we can see, that the US administration is making a foreign policy without awareness.

The same on base of rejecting the climate agreements of Paris: Now Old Europe is establishing an alliance with China and other Asean countries, who are economical rivals of USA… and as longtime result it will bring the Europeans more at the side of Russia…

On the other hand: If it’s true that  the Kremlin – intervened „smartly“ ??? // by hacking // in the US elections against Clinton and for Trump (3), they can’t be amused: US forces bombed Syrian government forces yet again!

(1) How Loretta Napoleoni mentioned in her book „The New Economy of Terror„, terrorism mostly is’nt defined scientifically: „Academics agree that any definition of terrorism must include its three main characteristics: its political nature, the targeting of civilians and the creation of a climate of extreme fear. Yet libraries are bursting with books that focus exclusively on one or other of these elements. Members of armed organisations and politicians freely use the propagandistic definition of terrorism – what Chomsky summarised as ‘violent acts committed by enemies against ‚us‘ or ‚our allies‘.“ Therefore I suggest, using the term „terror“ or „terrorism“ critically. This specially, because the capitalist patriarchy, this system, is yet in its epoch of general terrorism, which is part of „Pure War„, what had been anticipated in „Pure War“ by   Sylvère Lotringer and Paul Virilio. Here you can read an interview with Paul Virilio and here a report of his researches.

(2) And the ruling family in Qatar is’nt only a business partner of Deutsche Bank and VW but a shareholder. In this way German based companies are financing the war of ISIS and other cruel murderers in Middle East too.
